Upon my arrival, Michelle at the front desk was very friendly, courteous, and attentive. I was checked-in immediately and was able to relax and rest in my room.

Nice town but I ended in the wrong hotel

Stayed October 15,16, 2024, Excellent location in Tappahannock, within walking distance from Wal-Mart, Burger King, Subway, Wawa, Food Lion and other popular business. I requested a non smoking room, however everything around smell cigar smoke, outside, corridors, inside, the window of my room to the outside was cracked so the smoke of people smoking outside penetrate the room, even the bedspread had cigarette burns, so I have to assume this was a smoking room and they lied to me or either the mismanagement is such they don’t know which rooms are smoking and which one are not. The smoke detector hanging from the ceiling was disconnected and of high concern, if the fire marshal read this check room 105, sure the motel occupants will be evicted until fixed. Furniture was old and in bad condition. The toilet was totally lose and not attached to the floor; the bathroom fan could not be turned on because makes more noise than a railway locomotive. The corridor floor carpet looks shows never been cleaned, seems that carpet cleaner machines are not known in that part of the country. The ice machine has a sign temporary out of order, however the sign looks was there forever, if you want ice just go to Walmart, or Wawa or Sheets and buy a bag.

Breakfast should not be part of the description there is none 50 ft from the back entrance is the spot where a homeless man lives The area is littered with trash and garbage People are coming and going all night long The smell of marijuana was quite strong at times

The rooms were disgusting. There was stuff spotted on the walls. The sheets were stained same with the duvets. The sockets were coming out of the wall. There was a hole in the bathtub. Smelt heavy, heavy cigarette smoke. The carpets were dirty as hell would not recommend.

The elevator wasn’t working. Was charged $6.00 per bottle of water and total came to $38.00 on my statement it was charged twice. Next day asked the service desk and water was $3.00 per bottle so was overcharged $58.00 dollars for the water. Was also charged an extra $250.00 at checking in and hasn’t been refunded either. What a mess!
