"The Oberoi Cecil is absolutely terrific. Both times we stayed we were given an upgrade...the last time to a full suite! All of the staff in the hotel are tremendous and the morning buffet is absolutely fantastic! Mall Road is easily walkable, and there are many interesting connecting roads lined by interesting shops. I am celiac, and the chef Rajiv went out of his way to ensure that I had lots of special menu options. Arti and the assistant manager Raghav were invaluable at the front desk,...

"Signed up with Expedia went to property they said no reservation. Spend evening trying to work out with Expedia. Yep said after 30 min we have resolved with property. Assured. Dropped off at check in time. Expedia could not resolve. Said there system not working with Expedia left to figure out . "

"A homely and welcoming colonial-era hotel that has been maintained in excellent condition. A comfortable base for Shimla with good food, good service, and extremely attentive staff. The owners live on-site and are pleased to meet and greet their guests. Would recommend strongly."

"The views from the property are incredible. The breakfast is great. The other meals are great. Service is great too. Only two things I did not like: ONE: There was a very low wifi signal in the room and I would not recommend the hotel to anyone who needs to work and as cell phone signals at the property are low too. TWO: The bathroom exhaust did not fundtion. So the smell remained in the bathroom for a LONG time."

"A nice hotel, very clean and amazing views staff very friendly and helpful and could t do enough to make our stay comfortable Only issue to be aware of is the location. To get anywhere you need a taxi and even using uber you have ti wait a long time as drivers feel the hotel is too far out. A taxi to the Mall area will cost 700 rupees so you need to factor this in. It’s a good 20-39 min ride depending on traffic (took over an hour one day)"

"최악의 호텔임. 호텔수준이 아니고 민박수준임. 호텔닷컴의 예약 컨펌도 안됐다고 함. 추운날 가족들과 밖에서 노숙했음. 춥고 배고파 근처 호텔에서 저녁 식사하는데 근처호텔 역시 바가지 요금. 6명이서 43만원 내고 허접한 인도식 먹음.."

"First of all the property is not on road side, you have to climb down so many stairs to reach to the hotel. Rooms gates and windows are not properly sealed gusty chilly wind passes through slits that makes room super chilly and leaves your blanket and bed in freezing condition. On above that they charge 300 rupees extra per day to provide room heater. Super inconvenient."
