"The room was clean but needs updates. Carpet was kinda gross, tub needed to be replaced it was peeling and cracked. Veiw was amazing,bed was comfortable. Kitchen was nice."

" From check in to check out the staff at Opal Sol went above and beyond to make our little weekend getaway memorable. Jay at the front desk was very professional and knowledgeable about the property and surrounding area. The rooms were clean gave off that new car smell and had amazing views of the Gulf! Kudos to the housekeeping staff! Only complaint I’d have is that we did not stay longer. "

"This hotel is very worn! I heard they are going to make it into apartments! I would be ashamed if I were Whyndam! Our AC in room 213 was not up to par! Several other things I took pictures of was so outdated or worn. Very sad for our anniversary, pool was closed! If you want a bed and a hot shower that’s the only worth in this hotel! "

"Great location on the beach. It’s a nice little 5 min walk to the ocean from the pool or they have golf carts that will drive you out. My only issue is that both of the restaurants were on the inside of the hotel, so they had no windows which was a little bit strange and undesirable for a beach hotel. "

"The breakfast was OK. The ribs in the back are horrible. The rooms in the front after we found a few roaches was OK. It’s giving super 8. If I had enough money i wouldn’t have stayed here!!!"

"This was the worst place I ever stayed. The pool was congested with lots of children and it was very loud starting early morning until late at night. I was there 6 nights and could not use the pool once due to being overcrowded with children. The pool bathrooms were very dirty, and toilets overflowing daily. The room was not cleaned the entire time during my stay until my husband complained on day three of the stay that the room needed to be cleaned and we needed more towels to shower. We had to clean the room ourselves, get our own towels, water and toilet paper. For breakfast, my fork was bent and the handle on my coffee cup was cracked. The breakfast was horrible. The hotel was loud until about 2am nightly because the night clubs across the street had bands or music playing every night. The fridge was never cleaned out from the last stay so when I got into the room, someone else’s food was still in the fridge. The toilet paper holder and the towel holder were loose and almost falling off the wall and cabinet. The room I booked was identified as a Gulf View. It was NOT a Gulf view. It was a view of the pool, the parking lot and the loud pool heater. There were palm trees blocking the view creating a partial, loud view of the ocean because we were placed on the fourth floor. I was so upset I tried leaving the first day I arrived but had to stay because there were no other hotels rooms available in the area. So disappointing when you have your heart set on going on vacation. "

"Hot Tub was not cold but not hot either. Breakfast was free but terrible!!!!!!! All the supposed to be hot items (egg/cheese omelets , sausages, home fries were cold and undercooked. (Possibly below Health Department standards.) Would not recommend this place , "
