I stayed here both before and during the February-March 2026 war with Iran. The staff could not have been any more gracious and understanding! They went above and beyond to make sure hotel guests were safe and well taken care of. They opened the hotel bomb shelter to guests and neighbors alike. They made it easy to feel secure and welcome-I was able to rebook on a day-by-day basis until receiving my return flight back to the US. A bottle of wine and chocolate was gifted along the way. The hotel cafe has delicious coffee and a full rich breakfast. Many young people come there to work remotely giving the lobby and patio rich with greenery a youthful and dynamic energy. The new manager, Shirli, was super professional, helpful and warm. Even the hotel cleaners were willing to go the extra distance at this tense and challenging time to be here. The hotel’s is convenient to everything-two supermarkets on the same block, amazing bakery on opposite corner, the Carmel Market about two minutes away, 3 blocks from the ocean, and more restaurants and cafes in the surrounding streets than you can count. It’s possible to walk everywhere from here! Yup, I loved my stay here!
