"The refrigerator froze absolutely everything we put into it, and there was no way to adjust the temperature. It made storing food impossible. The shower was just as bad — water flooded underneath the door and spread across the entire bathroom floor. By the end of my shower, I genuinely felt dirtier than before I got in. Overall, the basic amenities were so poorly maintained that it made the stay uncomfortable and frustrating."

"Cool art deco hotel with theatre vibe , and awesome roof garden. Loved the free happy hour drinks which really facilitated meeting other guests. Excellent staff suggestions for places to eat / drink, including from Anna-Belle (Stagger Lee cafe, Fitzroy). Our Room was a King design overlooking the laneway - magic, romantic, cool glass bricked wall. Great location - we mainly walked around CBD , to Fitzroy area, easy tram to NGV. Highly rate. Thank you ."

"Beautiful old building. Staff are helpful and professional. Enjoyed your stay. One thing annoyed us at breakfast was that we had to ask several times for pastries.
