"Great hotel to stay at! We had an event at the DAC which was walking distance. All the staff at the hotel were wonderful! A cool, art deco vibe in the place. Rooms are tight. Hallways are dark. Both are part of the boutique vibe. The café in the lobby is great choice to pick up a coffee and light breakfast. We took our coffee outside to the relaxing garden with rod iron tables and chairs and enjoy the city in the morning. The Candy Bar is small, but very cool place to go for a drink!"

"Woke up at around 3:30 from the heat. The ac quit working and wouldn’t let us change it. Called front desk and the lady just mocked us and was rude, saying we didn’t know how to use it. Well it was actually broke. Then at 8 am we got evacuated from a fire alarm and we get all the way down stairs and a lady gets on the speaker laughing saying you don’t need to evacuate there is no fire. Then we go back up and as soon as we get back we get evacuated two more times. And we didn’t have power from...

"The rooms were clean and was appropriately stocked with amenities. The fridge wasn't working and I told the front desk before we left and they waived our parking fee. The staff were helpful and kept a package for me that was sent there a few days before. The Batch Brewing Co and Folk brunch cafe were all walking distance which is a plus if you're looking for good eats around the corner. I would stay here again when visiting Detroit."

"I enjoyed my stay. Don’t book thinking it will be upscale, it has its moments but it is charming in its own way. Our view of the city was nice but the windows had water stains. However, compared to other hotel prices in the area, I’m not complaining. Don’t expect a quiet area as it is downtown so the streets are loud at night. My only issue was the fire alarm going off in the middle of the night and middle of the day when we were recovering from being woken up that night. Both were false alarms...
