"Nice building in a residential area away from party life in Puerta Vallarta, but still super walkable. Almost no elevation change to head to the ocean. Lots of fresh produce, meat and fish within blocks. There is a super great variety of street food and restaurants in the neighbourhood as well. Super clean suite with modern plumbing and a/c. The plunge pool on the roof is a great way to cool off. I’d absolutely stay here again."

"This special place is in an ideal location. Walking distance to everything in the central and romantic zones and far enough from the busy area for a quiet retreat. The rooms have views of the jungle and along the walk along the river just across the street you can find parrots, iguanas and occasionally a crocodile. Staff are friendly and responsive and rooms are spacious and quiet. We had a wonderful time here and with all we did in beautiful Puerto Vallarta. "

"The Hacienda San Angel is a gorgeous property with amazing views and beautiful spaces including the rooms, courtyards and three stunning pools. The staff are lovely and so helpful. Our room was attended to multiple times per day with fresh towels and chocolates in abundance. Luis made sure our breakfasts were wonderful and gave us great travel tips to start each day. "The cave room is seriously something special. I don’t know the story but it must have been someone’s home years and years ago. You can tell they put a lot of thought and intention (and money!) into building this unique space. It’s the perfect little oasis nestled into the mountain. Sure the finishes are older and you're basically sleeping outside (lol) but once you’re used to the sounds at night, I always felt safe and slept like a baby! "This hotel is a lovely little sanctuary overlooking the bay. Beautiful sunsets, views of the lights and of the central cathedral. A friendly camaraderie amongst guests. The hotel is full of traditional artwork and design. A perfect,light breakfast is served. Be prepared for a pretty steep hike or to take a taxi up. "

"Garlands del Rio is a charming boutique hotel. It is their people that stand out and keep people coming back. Martha, Rico and Ivan are all exceptional. The hotel itself is very nice, clean and convenient to everything in the Zona Romantica. We were there during the cartel violence and the hotel staff kept us safe and secure. They did their best under extremely difficult situations. We definitely will return and visit them again."
