Aeolos Hotel

"A lovely clean hotel decorated in a slightly older more traditional style. Almost like a film set from 1920’s. Art deco, dark wood, vintage desk with ‘marble’ vintage telephone and typewriter in communal sitting area. Outside door shutters made the room dark for sleeping although the fuse box and other LED’s light up the room rather. Storage space, drawers and wardrobe was great and for a change there were several bathroom hooks and towel rails for hanging clothes, wash bags and towels, a feature I find is often lacking in lots of hotel bathrooms. Shower cubicle very small though. Breakfast products were interesting and varied from day to day, larger tea and coffee cups would have been better IMO, I’m rather partial to large cups or mugs of tea and coffee needing to rehydrate in the morning especially. A cute bar next to the pool serving drinks, including cocktails. Enough sunbeds available when we were there. The pool was delicious for leisurely swims and a small seat area in the pool where you could sit in the pool and maybe read while enjoying the coolness of the water. The main town centre was a short easy walk along the bay approx 15mins where you can catch a bus, taxi to other parts of the island and pleasure and public boats to other islands here too. 4star rating given as a comparison to the previous hotel we were at which had a far wider selection of breakfast items and individual barista style coffees available which Aeolos didn’t. A very enjoyable stay nonetheless."
Divani Meteora Hotel

"We very much enjoyed our stay at the Divani Meteora while we were in the area exploring the famous monasteries and convents of Meteora. The hotel is very clean and the staff are exceptionally kind and welcoming. We traveled with our 8 year old daughter and they even gave her a welcome gift of drawing pencils and a coloring book which I thought was an unexpected and very thoughtful touch. The Divani is walking distance to the center of Kalabaka town where we ate several meals during our stay in the area. We made use of the gym and indoor pool which was a nice treat for my daughter. (It was a little chilly and windy to use the beautiful outdoor pool). There is ample parking if you are on a driving trip as we were. And the included breakfast spread kept us going on several long days of exploring. I highly recommend the Divani to anyone looking for a clean, comfortable stay in the Meteora area"

"Everything and I mean Everything was perfectly Perfect!! From the pickup at the airport,the staff and amenities were Top notch! All the way on our flight home we were trying to figure out when to get back for our next visit! We fell in love with Elivi Skiathos! Thank you for giving my 92 year young Dad the trip of a lifetime! See you soon!"

"Staff were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was excellent. Lobb, breakfast area were clean and 5 stars. Rooms in main building on 3rd floor were not 5 star, closer to 3 star.. Carpet outside lift is functional but dated and water stained. Rooms dated need upgrades including painting and redecorating."

"Staff was very friendly and helpful, easy checking and check out. SPA services were great. Only negative we got a room with private pool which we never used water was extremely cold! Also it was advertised as ocean view but view was blocked by plants/trees. Again service was fantastic as well as the food and drinks only negative was our pool being so cold and not able to use it."

"Martha the owner is amazing - nothing is too much trouble. She offers transport too and from the airport, welcomes you with a complimentary glass of wine on her roof terrace which has fabulous views over Skiathos town. Works very hard to make your stay comfortable. Happily mskes you a hot drink. Bedrooms very clean."

"The location of this particular hotel is perfect. The gentleman who owns it has been extremely helpful and very nice. There was a few problems to begin with, but he fixed everything. The room is nice and big. It is very noisy however so keep that in mind."
Mandraki Village Boutique Hotel

"Beautiful gardens and pool area. Despite being next to the road it was very peaceful. Good selection at Breakfast. There is only one coffee machine which could lead to queues at peak times. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. Close to bus stop 23 and for 3 euros you can get to Skiathos town and the airport. Bus can be very busy at peak times. The walks through the forest to numerous beaches are beautiful. A few good restaurants all within walking distance if you don’t have a car or want to venture into town. Would definitely recommend and stay here for longer next time! Bonus hearing Scops owls every night 😍"
