"Cute hotel at the end of a private drive. We had room 201 and shared with friends of ours. The room was very tidy and spacious, with a lovely balcony with great views. "The hotel is very close to some beautiful spots in Iceland. We chose it so that we could spend two nights and move from there to different points; it was a great decision! "We had an excellent stay at Skalakot and wished we could have stayed longer. The property is so beautiful and our room was very spacious. We also really enjoyed the fireplace lounge after dinner. The spa was worth the extra fee and a very relaxing experience. Dinner was so delicious and relaxing as well. We were part of a larger group and that didn’t impact the quality of our meal.
