"I had a comfortable room up 1 flight of stairs. No air conditioning but the window opened and there was a fan, so I stayed cool enough. Bathroom is small but well thought out. Innkeepers were very friendly and helpful."

"The property is a very old one and hence a bit quirky but that’s fine. My room for instance was small with the sink in the main bedroom whilst the loo and shower were in the en suite but that was fine as I was by myself. The owners had put such thought into meeting my every need which was greatly appreciated- in the bedroom I couldn’t have wanted for anything more. "The Royal Oak Inn is situated in a lovely area. It was easy for us to park. On arrival which was somewhat late, there was no one to look after us. I got the attention of someone in the kitchen who alerted the manager. We were given our room key and on arrival in the room I noticed that there was quite a bit of hair in the sink and some in the bathtub as well.
