"Great smaller boutique hotel. Very central location without being in the centre of Ljubljana. We picked this hotel as we wanted to visit Bled, Ljubljana, Postojna Cave and Predjama Castle. We stayed 3 nights and would absolutely stay there again."

"Had a lovely stay at the Occidental in Ljubljana. The hotel was perfectly located and the Old Town was a few minutes walk away. The bed was as good as I have had in a hotel. The shower and wifi were also good. Breakfast had a wide selection and set you up for the day. The staff were great. Thanks to the lady who greeted me warmly every morning and brought me scrambled eggs freshly cooked (sorry forgot name). Big thanks to Fatima who looked after our room and was very attentive. If we return we will definitely stay at the Occidental."

"Great location in the heart of the old town, right next to the river and within easy walking distance of all the main attractions. There are plenty of excellent restaurants and bars nearby. The hotel was very clean, and the air conditioning worked exceptionally well. The bed was a little too soft for our liking and quite noisy when moving. Also, the bedside lamp couldn’t be used because the only available power outlet was needed for charging our devices. Our biggest disappointment was the room allocation. We had specifically contacted the hotel beforehand to confirm a room with a private bathroom, but on arrival we were given a room with a shared bathroom because, we were told, the private bathroom had broken. We understand that unexpected maintenance issues can happen, but the way the situation was handled was disappointing. We had to insist that this was not acceptable, especially after receiving prior confirmation. The initial response was simply that “things get broken,” delivered with a dismissive attitude. Only after we pressed the issue were we given an upgraded room with a private bathroom. Overall, the location and cleanliness were excellent, but the customer service when dealing with the room issue could have been handled much more professionally."
