"What a lovely setting for a stay in Rotarua! Close enough to town to have easy access while keeping a bit of distance between the amazing geysers and their aromas and antics. Further, the rooms and grounds are a destination in themselves, with the accommodating manager Rajiv Shama and his staff always available to help with questions, reservations, and transportation. Breakfasts were lovely and fast. Take the time to walk the grounds and talk to the parrots. Thoroughly charming. "

"We loved our stay at Hideaway. We stayed in the deluxe family room with spa bath, which was modern, clean and perfect stay for a family with young kids. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Just outside the sliding door was the playground and some friendly alpacas and a sheep. We didn't get much of a chance to try the playground due to the weather, but it looked great. We were given some food for the animals at check in and the kids absolutely loved being able to hand feed...

"The staff was wonderful. The room was lovely and the the bed very comfortable. We had difficulty with the heating, but the desk person came and showed us how to use it. So all was better. The bathroom was quite large.the bar/restaurant had a fun vibe and the lobby of the hotel made me want to just sit and relax. It was quiet, we did not hear our neighbors. It was centrally located. Only problem was parking."

"Staff was nice and accommodating, the room and bathroom were clean. Beds were good and the place was quiet. Wifi was good and the tv in the room allowed skycasting so we could watch netflix from our phone. Overall basic accomodation that meets all your needs for a very nice price."

"Exceptional. We cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay at Country Villa Estate. Danny and Mabel were fabulous hosts from the moment we arrived. We were met with a warm welcome before being shown to our very comfortable room which was beautifully decorated and with everything we needed for our stay. Breakfast was superb with different options each day. Mabel is a true artist with her delicious breakfast offerings. Beautiful gardens, comfortable spaces to relax, a truly unique...
