"A lovely little hotel slightly off the beaten track but within easy distance of Stirling and main routes to the highlands. Beautifully decorated. Excellent breakfast. The pub food is really good too should you need lunch or dinner. It was quite warm and humid when I visited with no a/c, although hotel provided a fan, which was helpful. It’s located at a busy intersection, so there is traffic, but given that it’s located in the country, there is still a sense of peace about it. Highly recommend."

"It is convenient to park your car at this inn. Highland Gate is not the inn but the the restaurant. The Highland Gate restaurant and Marton's Inn are in two separate buildings. The inn's outside apearance and inside conditions are quite mediocre: carpet in the hallway looks dirty at every entrance to the room; there is no rack or shelve for suitcases though the room size is decent; the bathroom has a peculiar smell (not stinky but unpleasant to me), and the double bed (made of two single beds)...

"The hotel and gardens are beautiful! There is a sense of opulence as you drive up to the hotel. Some of the rooms are under going refurbishment, we were upgraded as were our travelling companions. Lovely bedding with good quality pillows made for a very comfortable nights sleep. There is a swimming pool, spa and saunas a very short walk from the hotel within the property which was a very lovely way to end the evening."

"The hotel is a beautiful historic building in the centre of Stirling, once an infirmary, bank and library, and the exterior still has that charm. The location is excellent, with Stirling Castle and the Old Town Jail a short walk uphill, and plenty of shops, bars and restaurants nearby. Parking is limited at the front but we paid £18 for 48 hours, and there’s extra parking behind the hotel. The public areas—bar, reception, lounge and breakfast room—are modern, stylish and welcoming, and staff...

"The food for dinner and breakfast in the restaurant was fabulous! The rooms were tired although the bed was great some of the furniture needed updating. There was noise all night from a boiler (I think) which kept me awake. Overall a pleasant stay but a bit too pricey for the room stay."

"Disaster, we got in from Aberdeen by rail. I was with my older children and my wife. We intended to stay in the Harris room in the back by a car park.it had an overgrown unkept overgrown yard and safety felt like an issue. The security door was broken; would not lock and we had an overall creepy vibe. so bc my family weren’t happy we weren’t happy so just left for a nicer property.. The property needs someone to care and some TLC. We had a lot of luggage and the hotel was not conducive to tired...

"Room was clean and comfortable. Stsff were helpful and stired ohr luggage forvus because we arrived early. It included a small continental breakfast because the hotel is under construction. Super close to bus and train station with a glass walkway over rails . Close to all amenities under 10 min walk."
