Awesome stay

We loved Mawa House. We stayed 4 nights in Feb 2019. - Breakfast was excellent every day - Fresh Fruit plate and the Nasi Goreng was excellent served right on our patio. (menu was available to pick) - All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. - Room was very clean, spacious, with traditional touches like the Balinese bathroom door, air-conditioning, small safe for valuables, & lots of closet space. - The hotel is located on the south side of the Monkey forest (a 1-minute walk away) coming from town. This makes it a 20-25 minute walk to the centre of town (Market and Palace). It is removed from all the noisy bars and busier streets, so it's perfect if you want somewhere that's relatively central, but on the quiet side. Would definitely recommend.

Deliziosa guesthouse a due passi dalla foresta delle scimmie e 15 minuti a piedi dal centro di Ubud. La zona in cui si trova è piuttosto tranquilla e la sera è silenziosa. Siamo stati accolti da personale sorridente ed estremamente disponibile. Essendo il nostro un soggiorno lungo, ci è stata assegnata la camera 1, spaziosa e in stile tipicamente balinese. La pulizia è buona e la colazione, che deve essere scelta la sera precedente, è ottima. Non posso che consigliare Mawa House, che si tratti di un soggiorno breve o lungo come il nostro. La posizione è ottima e il rapporto qualità/prezzo pure.

Guest House was suitably located away from main Ubud, but short walking distance to all the fun. The staff ever very helpful and felt like a guest in their house. With only a few rooms, it was prefect and even have the pool to yourself. Whilst remembering this a guest house the only negtive points were, the bed whilst comfortable it did creak when you moved and small ants could be annoying, but you are in Bali after all. The room and facilities were good and clean, shower was great, water was really hot. Loved it.

Wir haben hier nur eine Nacht verbracht. Und hat das Hotel sehr gut gefallen, es hat alles was man braucht. Beim Frühstück konnten wir die Affen im Monkey Forest beobachten - ein einzigartiges Erlebnis!

Really Good for a 3 star but relatively basic. Really friendly people and great little pool. It’s in a good location and is walkable to the main centre but you do have to walk along a dark track alongside the monkey forest.

Excellent stay near the monkey forest

We loved the clean interior with traditional touches like the Balinese bathroom door , stone tiled bathroom and warm lighting. The staff were very helpful and friendly and invited us to learn more about local culture if interested. Mr Mawa is a master woodcarver and we took home a great walk decoration as a souvenir! Our power did cut off once but this was quickly recitified. Indonesia breakfast was served to our door and delicious. Finally you are so close to the monkey forest and delicious small eateries we loved it. About 30 mins walk to downtown ubud (art market) so if that’s where you want to be this May be a bit far u less you rent a bicycle or scooter. Overall we highly m recommend as it is an outstanding value for price!

Een hindoeistiche familietempel omgebouwd tot hotel. Rustig en sfeervol met mooi ingerichte kamers. De staf is uitstekend en doet alles met zorg. Prima ontbijt! Het hotel ligt bij het Monkey Forest en een enkele keer kwamen ze wel eens kijken of er bij het ontbijt iets te halen viel. Het ligt 25 minuten lopen van het centrum van Ubud maar dat centrum is erg druk en lawaaierig. In de naaste omgeving zijn ook leuke mogelijkheden om iets te eten of te drinken.

Small friendly hotel with pool

Lovely spacious room with mosquito net. The en suite has a large rainfall shower with running hot water. The room had a Kettle with coffee and tea. Good choice of breakfast that you order the night before, and arrange a suitable time to have it served on your terrace or balcony. Staff were polite, friendly and accommodating. Take a torch with you if you plan to walk passed the Monkey Forest which is the quickest way into Ubud centre.

Friendly and quiet

We loved Mawa House. We stayed 3 nights in Feb 2018. - Breakfast was excellent every day - we thought the Nasi Goreng here was better than from any of the nearby Warungs. - All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. - Room was very clean, spacious, and with everything you'd hope for... great showers, air-conditioner did exactly what it was supposed to do, small safe for valuables... - Pool is on the small side, but clean, well kept, and pretty. Nice to sit next to it and read. - The place next door organised cheap shuttle-bus to our next destination, which meant we didn't have to lug our bags into town. - The hotel is located on the far side (just south) of the Monkey forest (a 1-minute walk away) coming from town. This makes it a 20-25 minute walk to the centre of town (Market and Palace), which can feel like a long way in the humid weather. On the other hand, you're removed from all the noisy bars and busier streets, so it's perfect if you want somewhere that's relatively central, but on the quiet side. Would definitely recommend.

Fantastiskt lugnt läge nära monkey forest

Fantastiskt familjeägt hotell med bara 8 rum. Lugn miljö en liten bit från ubuds larm. Bara ca 100 meter från monkey forest som absolut måste ses. Mycket bra restauranger i närheten, speciellt Laka Leke. Lite svårt att hitta entrén till hotellet. Kan verkligen rekommenderas.

A unos paso de la selva de los monos sobre una calle principal de Ubud. Habitación grande, excelente decoración, personal muy amable, desayuno abundante. Uno de los mejores hoteles en que he estado. Amazing location nice room

Mawa house is a cute little hotel located close to the city center, monkey forest and lovely restaurants. The hotel room is nice and clean and staff are friendly.
