"First the hotel desk staff were very friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself needs lots of TLC. walking to our room it looked like half the doors were broken into. Our room on the 3rd floor was absolutely disgusting. I NEVER write reviews but I rely on them all the time. The floors were dirty, every baseboard was caked with dirt and dust. "Staff was very helpful. Other than that it was pretty bad. Got 2 rooms and had to switch out of the first room for both for multiple reasons. Room was dirty and sticky. A/c was leaking and had the floor soaked. My kids kept getting wet. Just an overall bad experience would def pay more for a better newer hotel"

"My mother had an emergency trauma surgery 3 weeks prior to our stay. We purchased the travel protection insurance. The hotel nor Expedia would change the date of our stay even with the travel protection that was purchased. They were rude, unempathetic and told my mom that they needed medical documentation for proof of a refund, which is a HIPPA violation. My mother and I lost out on our beach stay at this hotel. "This property was better than expected. The room was spacious and clean, perfect for our family of 5. Very family friendly. Breakfast was delicious. Only cons - the breakfast only served pancakes on one of the 4 nights we stayed and the pool was quite small especially when the hotel is booked. The pool was quite crowded at times."

"We needed two beds close to the Cross-Sound Ferry and this ticked both of those boxes. However, not much beyond that. The rooms are dated and not particularly well-cleaned. An air freshener would at least try to hide the cigarette smell, but to no avail. We definitely had long hair in our beds that did not belong to any of us... It did the job, but I cannot recommend, unfortunately."

"It is fine for a quick visit. The breakfast isn't useful for us, we prefer healthier options. Unfortunately, the room had a very bad smell for all 3 nights I were there. (strong musty or someone cooked something that gave off a terrible odor for days). The room was clean, housekeepers great. The hotel was completely booked so changing wasn't an option."
