Although the building dates from 1886, it has been recently renovated and it looks like a period movie scene, its period palace appearance being wonderfully preserved. My room was on the 3rd floor and incredibly quiet, even though I was there over the weekend and within walking distance of Lipscani (old town). The room was a good size, clean and well equipped, and they even give you free wine and cake on arrival. Louisa on the front desk was very friendly and helpful...
