"This motel definitely doesn't look like much from the outside. In fact I asked to see the room before we actually checked in. The man at the desk sure didn't like that! But he was abrupt and unfriendly anyway. So....what a surprise when we opened the door to our room! It was as cute as a button. Small but spotlessly clean! And the bed was very comfortable. I really liked the big picture windows to the back as well as the front. A nice stay."

"The front staff gave us the wrong hours for the breakfast so that was disappointing. We missed it. The bathroom, grout and the shower needs to be cleaned. There was no water in the room however I would like to pay Sandra a huge compliment because she was in the kitchen cleaning up from after the breakfast and yet she still let us get some stuff and she’s very friendly very cordial. "The view of the harbour from our room was great and the location to restaurants etc was very good. On street parking was hard to find. Room was very dated which I sort of expected. Linens need to be replaced and washed more effectively and area carpet was stained and tired. Breakfast at the restaurant was good and reasonably priced. Room came equipped with milk and creamers in the fridge as well as real glasses and mugs instead of paper and plastic. Nice touch."

"We had a great room with a full kitchen. Never saw or spoke to a person. Contactless check in which was convenient. Parking right outside our room which was very convenient. Grocery store very close by, which was also super convenient. Only problem, and it is a big one, is that we got charged on our VISA twice. Hope it will not be a lot of work to get this resolved. Not really something I want to deal with on a holiday."

"We absolutely loved our stay at the Magnolia Inn! The place was spotless, and the little extras included in our stay were a thoughtful and unexpected touch. Our room was cozy and inviting, and the bathroom felt luxurious with its spacious walk-in shower. Craig was easygoing and a pleasure to chat with, it’s clear he and his wife have poured their hearts into this new venture. "We looked out at the Bluenose sailboat from our room. We had a very high four post king bed that we used the stool provided to climb into. It was a quaint room with all the necessities needed for an overnight stay. We had a delicious meal at restaurant below."

"Hand rail going up and down the stairs was missing. Making it very unsafe. Carpet looked like it hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks. When we arrived one of the beds looked like it had been sat on. Needless to say, we ended up leaving and not staying the night. Even though we had paid."
