"What a beautiful renovation and serene environment. These are basic rooms and not luxurious. No A/C, but the rooms are clean with modern bathrooms. The property has a lovely central square that the hotel rooms surround, that is peaceful and charming. Gorgeous biblical art and grand arches can be seen throughout the common spaces, and act as a reminder that this building was originally a convent from the mid 1600s. "The hotel is very well run, I liked the coffee station but no coffee in the room was a minor down side, the breakfast was very varied and delicious The only problem for me is I stayed on Sunday and the restaurant next door was shut and no local options available also hotel doesn't have a bar"

"Everything was great. Only problem was our air conditioning wasn’t working and it was super hot that day and night. Did complain about it, as it was so late when we checked in they couldn’t do anything. Staff were kind and helpful. Would stay here again next time, hopefully the air conditioning will work."

"The building is beautiful from the outside, but it is in desperate need of maintenance and renovation on the inside. The only positive aspects of my stay were the breakfast buffet, which was excellent, and the housekeeping staff. The cleaning team did an outstanding job and kept the rooms clean and well maintained throughout my stay. Overall, despite a few positive points, I would not consider this a true four-star hotel and would not choose to stay here again."

"Staff very helpful and spoke English, room excellent and clean with very comfortable beds; the problem was the parking-difficult to find the garage & have to manoeuvre the car into a lift to the basement and the access to the rooms via lifts with key cards. Also the instructions for the garage were inspiken Spanish and there would not be room in the lift for a large vehicle e.g SUV."

"A beautiful dreamy Parador! Within most peaceful nature filled grounds, the rooms were exceptionally clean even with back garden access! Delicious breakfast either in the dinning room or garden terraza! Staff is super friendly and helpful with sharing information. Awesome bar with exceptional views of the gardens and sunset! "8 of us stayed here for the recent Rugby finals in Bilbao - mainly because it was the only hotel we could find that offered reasonable value for money (downtown hotels asking £700+ per room per night for that weekend) As the name says this is a budget hotel but it was fine for us. "Small boutique hotel vert well located across the Guggenheim museum. Outstanding service and impeccably maintained. The staff is very polished, very helpful and nice. Definitely recommend it."

"Above my expectations considering the cheap price. This is a student housing but worked well as a hotel, the only minus were lack of toiletries (this was highlighted in the booking information but it is in my opinion an easy thing to add for shorter stays or on request). The hotel is close enough to the centre to walk, but there is also good communication and transportation."

"Cosmetically the hotel was fine. The staff were friendly as well. However we had multiple issues including the power having to be reset, the key cards malfunctioning on our second day there, the telephone buttons to reception or room service not working, and the pretty bathtub that we couldn’t utilize because the drain plug didn’t work. They were going to charge us for calling the hotel for room service because we couldn’t get the buttons to work but guest services took it off."
