"Independente Comporta was a truly serene experience. The setting is peaceful and beautifully designed, and the atmosphere invites you to slow down. The staff were kind and attentive, and everything about the space felt thoughtful and well cared for. It’s one of the most memorable places we’ve ever stayed — calm, intentional, and quietly special."
"We had a villa with private pool with 2 kids of 3 and 5 years old. It was very spacious and well decorated. The swimming pool is not big but perfect for us and in a nice location in the middle of pines and cork oaks.
Cleaning was done every day. People were nice and helpful.
Just a point of attention : we thought there was a laundry we could use : it is not the case.
Some mosquitos. Car is required.

"This hotel was a historic property dating back to the 14th century. Walking the cloisters and hallways was magical. Don’t miss the museum in the crypt below the hotel. So much history, dating back to the Bronze Age. I have never stayed in such an amazing property. Magnificent!"
"Wonderful stay for a family! Our reception was fantastic with the friendliest of staff members. The apartment we stayed in looked to be brand new and was incredibly clean. What a great stay during our trip in Portugal!"

"Basic 3 star hotel and over priced for facilities and dining options . Noise travels through bedroom walls .. sometime since property was refurbished "
"This property is NOT where it shows on the map, it is 10 minutes down the street and not in the village of Comporta. There is only one AC unit, and the bedrooms get very hot. The house was not clean upon arrival and the cleaning people were still there. The microwave didn't work either. I am still waiting for my refund. The management company is difficult to work with and communicate with. Cute pool though. "
