"A full service hotel - nice room with very helpful hotel staff and amenities - but without the hotel itself (you get a room over a Starbucks). Great city location, though note that since the hotel is so centrally located, car service cannot drive directly up to the entrance in the hotel’s pedestrian-only zone."

"Super centraal gelegen in hartje Valletta. Op enkele minuten wandelen van de belangrijkste bezienswaardigheden. Kort bij lift aan Barakka Upper Garden en de bootverbindingen naar Gozo of The three City's. Eveneens op slechts een kleine 10 minuten wandelen tot aan bushaltes die je overal op het eiland brengen. Een aanrader!"

"The hotel was beautiful and like nothing I’ve stayed before, everywhere was spotless and great location and having a pool was a bonus. Breakfast in the courtyard was perfect. Staff were very helpful and friendly especially Michael who welcomed us when we landed and took care of everything during our stay, he really was so welcoming and friendly and an asset to the hotel, would definitely recommend and hopefully come back to visit again xx"

"The location of the hotel was really good - so easy to get into Valetta town centre. The room was great, had been set up as twin room as requested. Huge, clean bathroom. Before we arrived I had tried to contact the hotel to make sure late check in was ok but didn’t have a response - that was a slight hiccup but all got sorted and late check-in was super easy. Front desk and other staff were lovely. Would recommend the hotel."

"Don't let the location fool you. Strait Street is a typical Malta alley-looking road, lined with bars, restaurants and other hotels. Once inside you'll be pleased with your room and the cafe. I had a very large patio with a jacuzzi, the room had been recently renovated with lovely, bright colors, and the large bathroom had also been recently renovated. The location is great. The only drawback was accessing the property. Make sure to get the code for the front door before you leave on your...

"This is our second stay at The Cumberland and it was as wonderful as our first. This was a very late booking as we needed a single night stay due to a flight cancellation in nearby Sicily. We arrived late at night and the room was perfectly clean and a very welcome relief after an extremely stressful day, the check in staff were delightful and then the breakfast the following morning was just what we needed. We will of course return!"

"Great place to stay. Located in a quiet location but still close to tourist attractions and some nice restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even arranging uber rides and recommending places for dinner. The room was very clean and modern and the bed was really comfy. Would definitely stay there again."

"Staff were friendly and always very friendly. Lovely clean room and excellent location"

"Good location close to city centre and attractions, easy to find despite other reviews saying it wasn't. Church Bells in the morning were annoying as they woke you up. Building work going on in adjacent hotels, were as they started on some days at 06:30. Room was spacious, facilities ie kitchen was good, lighting could have been better. Balcony was unusable due to dust and and on going work. Overall staff friendly and helpful, had an issue with the shower that was resolved same day. Nice touch...

"Wonderful place to stay. As a female traveller, felt very safe."

"Beautiful building in an amazing location - walked everywhere!"
