"Was great"

"The Expedia price was about $150 more than the property was charging that night, should have checked the BW website It was super convenient to downtown Ventura and very walkable. Beds were squeaky but staff was great and breakfast was pretty good. "

"Very clean. Microwave and refrigerator were great to have with a family. The included breakfast was convenient and had plenty of choices for our three young, and picky, boys. The only negative worth noting for a family is there was only a shower stall, no bathtub. A little harder setting sandy kids clean in a shower rather than soaking in a tub. Overall, a great experience."

"We were just passing through and enjoyed our one night stay in a room with two queens. The hotel is old but well kept. Cleanliness was not an issue as everything looked great and the staff was very pleasant. You can tell they give attention to the small details that make this a wonderful place to stay. We had a great dinner at the restaurant and enjoyed breakfast in the terrarium. The room was nice but a bit cramped and there were no work stations with extra outlets to plug into so I was forced...

"This place is a gem with a few small issues. It's an older property- which is fine. Staff was all wonderful, restaurant is great. Only complaints. 1.pillows smelled a bit like a guy who had been in the sun all day. I just used a towel to cover it. Probably would have been remedied if I'd ask so NBD. 2. WIFI was abysmal. As someone who needs it to work was a bit of a problem. Other than that, had a relaxing couple of nights."

"Overall, the experience was good. I booked a room that could hold 5 people, one being on the sofa bed. I was HIGHLY disappointed in the sofa bed. It was stained to where nobody was willing to sleep on it and extremely old with springs and very uncomfortable when just placing your hand on it. Please get a new option for the fifth person."

"People and property were all fantastic. Breakfast was better than I expected. The area around the proper was not the best but there is a great Mexican seafood restaurant within walking distance. Would definitely stay there again "
