"The cottage has just about everything you need in the kitchen which was super helpful for us. The place was very clean and quiet. Check in and check out are easy, self service. We would stay here again and for longer. The property itself was on a beautiful piece of land, we enjoyed a great sunset and tried to see northern lights but it was cloudy."

"Great location for getting to Vik, black sand beaches,beautiful Waterfalls plus more. We only stopped for a night so didn’t really use the kitchen but would be a great option if you wanted to cook your own food. Shared bathrooms were not an issue. Rated a 4 as there was no hot water so that meant no shower (fine for one night but not sure about longer) but had been emailed ahead of time and never did see any ‘caretaker’who was to have been there when we arrived but room was set up so all...

"From the outside, I would never believe that inside was a very clean, well appointed hotel. Would recommend."

"Was a great last stop for us on the ring road after staying in guesthouses for a week. We had our own kitchen, laundry and bathroom and the host was very sweet, she gave us a bottle of milk from their dairy cows. They just took over the farm a couple months ago and are making a new start of it. The furnishings are very plain but clean and you have all you need with more amenities than most other places we stayed, recommended!"

"Stayed one night in a double room here and In a remote location on a farm and surrounded by beautiful scenery. It’s minutes away from plane wreck and Seljalandfoss which made for a healthy hike on a summer evening. Everything is self explanatory/ service and more of a hostel feel than guesthouse or hotel which we didn’t mind at all. They say there is no breakfast but they have an excellent coffee machine and cereals for you to start your day. Only complaint was the smell in our tiny bathroom but...

"The breakfast was exceptional. There was an amazing variety, kept well stocked by a very pleasant, helpful and capable woman. All the staff were very welcoming and polite. The recommendation for a restaurant nearby the evening we arrived was superb. Best lamb we have ever had. The setting of the hotel was beautiful and peaceful. I would highly recommend this hotel and hope to stay again some time."
