"Lovely hotel in downtown Des Moines. I stayed for the Des Moines half marathon, and the hotel was a block from the finish line. An added benefit was the Saturday farmer's market a block from the hotel!"

"Breakfast was good, staff was helpful. Room was pretty clean. Bed was creaky. Access to car park across the street was spotty, as card scanner to open gate did not function reliably. It was nice to stay downtown with good places to eat in walking distance."

"Great location in the Capital district. We had a wonderful view of the Des Moines river and bridge. The hotel could use some updating and maintenance. Our window leaked when it rained and the doorknob to the bathroom came off when pulled. Breakfast was decent, but food service for dinner was limited and not as good. Very friendly staff."

"The only that I liked about the hotel was that the bed was comfortable. The rooms had that damp moldy smell to them. The pictures were misleading from the website. They need to update the rooms. The bathroom had dirty tile and there was someone’s fingernail still in the floor. I won’t stay here again and I will not recommend this hotel to any friends. The staff were great and friendly tho."

"We arrived and had gotten an accessible room, but the room ended up not working due to not having any storage nor having hooks for longer clothing (dress). We were in for an extended time, so those things were needed. So the staff was helpful and was able to upgrade us to a suite for an extra charge. The next room had a lingering smell.
