"Beautiful hotel in an extremely convenient location to the train station (Waverly) and to the main downtown area. Top floor check in and champagne bar was also very beautiful and it is a nice touch to get a free glass of champagne (or non-alc bev) when you check in, and there were a lot of free drinks and snacks in the room. Only downside is that in the evening, we had significant trouble with slow wifi that made it very difficult to stream movies/shows."

"Beautiful apartment, upgraded features and style without compromising traditional historical feel. We stayed in the West Wing apartment. Unit worked great for our family of 4. Beds were comfortable and rooms were spacious. Amazing location right in the heart of everything. We could explore Edinburgh and its beautiful historical buildings and return back to an apartment with the same vibes but with modern amenities. Price is high in that area of town as a whole but this was one of the lower cost...

"Spectacular location. Friendly and helpful staff. The room is perfect for our needs. Walking distance to several outstanding restaurants and tourist attractions. We loved our stay here and would stay here again in a heartbeat."

"Centrally located with spacious rooms and most amenities. However, the decor has dated quickly and the hotel has no real lobby or central area to linger - just a small space to check in and hold luggage. The 2 adjacent restaurants stand alone. The gym is small and seems carved out of a former guest room. Someone has created a hotel out of bits and pieces and a list of what most people want. If convenience is your primary requirement than I can recommend."

Had to pry open the door with butterknife otherwise our clothes would be trapped in the machine - No room service after midnight, not even simple sandwiches/snacks - No AC"

"I have to start by saying how amazing the communication was with Mary and Laurence. As theres no front desk it’s all via message. The room was nice & big & in an amazing location. Right near some great ice cream and coffee shops. I did request an earlier check in so not sure what happened but that’s fine as check in was all online and we left our bags whilst we grabbed lunch across the street. A few minor points for me the room didn’t have AC and yes it wasn’t listed as an amenity but I assumed...

"Several times the reception staff were very helpful. However there was a problem they were not able to or didn’t want to solve. Room 716 had a HVAC issue where there was a buzzing every minute or so. They moved me to 715 and it had the same problem except it was more like a vibration and it occurred every 4 or 5 minutes. A man (not the person at the reception desk) was sent to investigate but said there was nothing he could do and said most of the rooms probably have the same issue so there was...
