"This was our third trip to Casa Velas. We thought it couldn't get any better and then we saw the new breakfast menu and wine list. So glad to have some lighter options for breakfast, and the new wines are excellent. Of course it’s the staff that always makes us want to keep coming back. Notably, Camila, Gerardo, and Omar at breakfast; Enrique, Carlos, and Antonio at Tao; Avaldo and Ramon at the Aqua Bar; and Daniel, Gerardo, Rigo, Rosacio at dinner. We’re already planning our next trip...

"Short stay for flight delay. Room was clean and comfortable. Front desk clerk and housekeeping were helpful and professional. Nice pool and lobby had a large sitting area with free coffee/tea. Would highly recommend a stay here."

"The staff was very courteous. Everything seemed in great shape and newly painted. The bar staff around the pool worked very hard every hour of every day. The food staff was great also."

"Very nice place and accommodation with great attention to details. No complaints, all went well with everything: food quality and variety, staffing and amenities. The only thing I’d comment is the amount of bills and receipts that need to be signed even if you didn’t consume anything or your meal/drinks were included in the package. I’d come back again if this thing is fixed. Thanks. "

"Its not called Ocean Breeze, it’s Mayan Palace- after that confusion and them trying to pitch is on buying into the owners program before we even checked into our room…. It was a pretty nice place. Friendly helpful staff, good food and a beautiful lobby. Probably wont go again, but it was nice."
