"Rooms were terribly dirty. Called to hopefully change rooms. Was told they were short staffed and I wasn’t the first caller to say this. They send the cleaners to come clean it but we declined. It would take them an hour to clean up that room."

"Last minute choice, close to where we wanted to stay, staff were very amiable and helpful. Rooms are comfy but dated, a/c was noisy but kept the room super cool. Parking lot needs an overhaul, we were on motorcycles and the amount of gravel and beat up asphalt was sketchy in the dark. Only complaint was the DTV offered very little channels."

"It’s certainly family friendly. There were lots of kids running around which want exactly what we hoped for our anniversary get away but the hotel was very nice."

"My wife has been coming to Oglebay for the majority of her life and for her it’s become a tradition to visit. I have only been to the property twice and although I think it is very nice, improvements need to be made:
1. Both the indoor and outdoor pools need to be refurbished IMMEDIATELY! Both are gross! At a bare minimum, a fresh coat of paint would be helpful.
2. Carpeting throughout the entire resort needs replacing.
3. Some staff members are warm, friendly, and welcoming. Many are...
