"Beautiful hotel in an excellent location for our visit to Philadelphia. We lucked into a top floor corner room, and had amazing views of the river. Staff were very friendly and welcoming, especially Bryan at check-in, and we loved James at the hotel bar. The hotel has a gorgeous pool and sundeck, which was a big hit with the kids in our group. "Our room was very clean and had all the amenities we expected, and the hotel staff was very helpful and accommodating. Our main complaint, which is not really the fault of current management but of whoever decided to build the hotel in that location, is that it was very noisy and I slept little. The hotel is sandwiched between I95 (which runs elevated directly behind the hotel) and Christopher Columbus Blvd directly in front, with the Ben Franklin Bridge practically overhead. "Not the worst place. Clean. I was told they're in process of renovating the locks. My door would not close had to have a housekeeper help me. Only one vending machine for snacks on one floor out of 14 floors and no bags to go inside ice bucket or the trash. Highly unsanitary and my bed was hard. Ive stayed there before and didn't sleep on a rock."

"My reservation was guaranteed for 3:00 PM check-in. I arrived at 3:15 PM and my room was not ready. While one of the desk clerks was very apologetic, I had to wait until 3:40 before my room was ready; that is not acceptable. It really is a bare bones hotel where the only amenity is a coffee machine in the lobby. While the price point is modest, I will never stay there again."
