Beautiful property...a beautiful rainforest area...the garden was really nice...The owners were very accessible and knowledgeable...the breakfast was excellent...If you go to the Big Island it's a great option...

Such a beautiful quaint property right next to the Volcanoes National Park. Check in was convenient and the breakfast was lovely. We really liked the lanai facing the gardens too!

Lovely grounds.plenty continental breakfast left in refrigerator so you can eat early. Room size fine. Could use slightly more comfortable chairs for collapsing after park. Also room for longer breakfast and end tables. All those electronics and planning maps/books/glasses have to rest somewhere...plenty resturants arround

What a cute place! We had a wonderful stay at Hale 'Ohu Bed & Breakfast to celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary. The place was clean & comfortable, the breakfast was nice, and the owners were helpful with area recommendations. We will definitely stay here again if we are fortunate enough to make another trip to this beautiful state.

Best accommodations in Hawaii!
The accommodations were amazing! The breakfast fresh and delicious! The grounds were beautiful! 5 minutes from the entrance to Volcano NP, 2 minutes from the Village, where you can pick up a awesome submarine sandwich to go for your hike. Make sure to vome back early (5 pm) and have dinner at Lava Rock cafe before they gwt busy.

Very close to the National park entrance (5 minute drive). Had a microwave, coffee maker, small fridge and they provide breakfast the night before so you can wake up early and get to the volcano. Well thought out and very friendly. Clean and modern. We would certainly stay again

Lovely, peaceful, relaxing
Lovely, quiet, peacefully place to stay while visiting Volcano National Park. Breakfast each morning was delicious and the room was comfortable and clean. We were really able to relax and felt pampered. The grounds are beautiful - take a walk around!

Gorgeous place, great value!!
The B&B is lovely! The property is gorgeous!! bed is comfy and room is super clean and cute. We actually got hit by a huge blizzard (yes in Hawaii!!), power and so was running water (since it ran on a electric pump) was out for 2 of the 3 nights we were there. But Nicole and Gabrielle did everything they can to keep us comfortable.

Excellent place to stay right next to the Volcano National Park. Gabrielle and Nicole were friendly and helpful. The room was quiet, clean, and well appointed. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The grounds were beautiful and included a nature walk for guests to enjoy. We highly recommend this bed and breakfast!

All around amazing. The property itself is fantastic and great for people planning to go to volcano national park. The breakfast each morning was outstanding and more food than the two of us could eat! I don’t think we had a better breakfast anywhere. The only downside is the village of volcano has hardly any lunch or dinner options and dinner places close super early so plan accordingly

This is a really nice bed and breakfast right in Volcano. You are less than 5 minutes from the NP entrance, so the location is great. Check in was very easy and the owners are super nice. The room was very clean, updated and beautiful. There is a breakfast nook where we had breakfast already in our fridge for the morning to eat when we wanted. A nice table was set by the window. The food was delicious! We would highly recommend this bed and breakfast for a stay near Volcano NP.

Spent two days at this bed and breakfast. The location is just 5 minutes from Volcanoes National Park. The two sisters who own this b&b put a lot of effort into this and it shows. Breakfast is different everyday and it's enough to get the day started. This is a little oasis on the big island and I hope to come back again.

Nicole was a very gracious host. The breakfast that was prepared for us in our unit was delicious and healthy. The sheets on the bed and the bath robes were very luxurious. I will definitely stay again when visiting Hilo. Mahalo and Aloha!

What a gem of a spot! Can’t imagine a finer place to stay in this tiny community. Private, comfortable, convenient - every amenity has been considered. Such thoughtful consideration for guests needs (and those they didn’t even realize they had!).

Wonderful Place to Stay in Volacano!
We had a tremendous stay at Hale 'Ohu. What a beautiful property! The room was very nice and the shower was amazing. The breakfast provided was also a great touch. Also- the bed was super comfortable and the room was sparkling clean. Contactless check-in and check-out was a great option during COVID. Definitely a great option if you're looking for a place near Volcano and I'd love to return and stay longer!

Beautiful property. Loved the gardens and little trail thru their own property. The room was great too. Fully updated bathroom. The breakfast was fantastic. The bananut bread and pineapple were baked with love. Great and caring owners.

Paradise in the rainforest.
This B and B has everything you need for a comfortable stay while visiting Volcanoes National Park. Beautiful rainforest setting. Care and thoughtfulness went into the design of the room. Extra touches were evident: Ample towels, a special makeup remover towel, extra pillows, blankets on the lanai for chilly mornings, umbrellas, flashlight, even earplugs. We enjoyed the provided Kona coffee and wonderful breakfast while watching the rain and listening to the birds from the lanai. A lovely stay, wished it was for more than 1 night.

Our favorite
We stayed at 5 different places on the Big Island and this was our favorite. Spacious, clean, beautiful grounds, excellent breakfast and friendly staff. Highly recommend

いいところです。
熱帯雨林の中にあり、気がいいところです。部屋も清潔で行き届いています。泊まった日は寒かったので、ヒーターを使いましたが、最初どこにあるかわからず、ベットの側の壁の下にあるのにしばらくして気がつきました。唯一欠点を挙げるとすれば、隣の声が聞こえやすいので、お互いに気を使わなくてはいけないところです。 またボルケーノに行く機会があれば泊まりたいです。

Clean. Easy to get to. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was minimal.

Mahalo for sharing your experience. We are happy to see that you enjoyed the room, but are disappointed that you did not like the breakfast. Our breakfast offerings are detailed on our website, which we link to in the confirmation and pre-arrival emails. Our property listing on Expedia also clearly states that we provide a continental breakfast. Most guests find our breakfasts quite substantial, thoughtful and healthy.

Nice Place
Very quiet and beautiful hostel. The driveway to the hostel was fantastic. I was impressed by the kindness of the host and would like to visit again if I have the opportunity. Breakfast juice and bread which we prepared were very delicious.

キラウエア火山から約7,8分のところにある全部で3部屋のお宿です。室内は新しく、毎日の掃除もとても丁寧になさっています。固定シャワーのみなのでバスタブに浸かりたい人は向かないかも。 朝食は前日までに冷蔵庫に入れてくれますので、翌朝好きなタイミングで自分で用意して食べることができます。全部で4種類あるそうで、5日目からは1日目と同じものが用意されるみたいです。 手作りのパンケーキやフルーツなど、品数は少ないですがどれも美味しくいただきました。 車は部屋の目の前に止められますので、いつでもすぐにでかけられます。キラウエア火山で星空を観に行ったり、早朝に火口をトレイルする人には最適の宿だと思います。 大変お世話になりました。またハワイ島へ行ったらリピートしたい宿です。

Bungalow tout confort proche du parc des volcans
Bed and breakfast très bien placé. Proche de restaurants bons et agréables. Parc à deux pas pour y passer plusieurs jours. Bungalow spacieux et tout confort dans un superbe jardin. Le petit déjeuner est déposé dans le frigo tous les jours (cake, fruits, tout très bon). Et peut être réchauffé au micro onde. Permet de prendre son temps. Bon concept.

基本的にホテルとは違うので、期待はしていませんでしたが快適に過ごせました。 チェックイン時に部屋まで一緒に来て、一通り説明していただき、冷蔵庫にある朝食や周辺飲食店などを案内してもらい、色々と助かりました。 冷房はなく、ヒーターのみ、標高が1000メートルなのでヒーターを少しつけたので、冷房は必要ないのでしょう。 お庭がとても綺麗に手入れされていて、レインフォレストという敷地内のちょっとした散歩ができる道は、まるでジュラシックパークの世界に行ったようで良かったです。 とても静かで鳥のさえずりや木々の音が日常を忘れさせてくれる貴重な時間でした。

Mahalo for your feedback. Our Expedia (and partner sites) listing clearly identifies our property as a bed and breakfast and that we do not have air conditioning.
