"First of all they gave me room that didn’t exist. Then I found out that the room was not the one I have booked. The staff at the front desk told me that they could do nothing, and that I would have to wait until the next day to talk to a supervisor. Only after I contacted Expedia they moved me. The new room was nice and Breakfast was very good and for the rest of my stay the staff was very helpful,"

"VERY convenient location for visiting Amsterdam (and this was not our first time). The room was clean and spacious, but the bathroom could do with an upgrade for the bathtub and shower. Good air conditioning too! Nice extra touches - shampoo and lotion provided, welcome chocolates and a wonderful selection for breakfast. Overall, a very good choice and close to Vondelpark and museums, as well as convenient tram stop."

"Clean room. Comfortable beds. Very simple but we wanted a place to sleep and store bags and intended to be out sight seeing all day/evening. So this was a great option. We were there during the heat wave and so we requested an extra fan. I was worried as the propety and rooms do not have air conditioning but with the second fan in a triple room we slept comfortably. Easy to get into the main tourist areas on foot or tram. Happy with our choice."

"The location is excellent. There is no AC in the bedrooms, so if you are going in the summer, and are used to AC, it’s extremely uncomfortable. We had been placed in an outdoor room, away from the main building, and upon walking in, it felt like a furnace. We asked to switch, since we couldn’t cancel our reservation. We got placed in a cooler building on a lower level. It was a tad better, but slept with windows open and fan blowing at full speed. I will come back in fall and winter months, but...

"Very good location. Room was too dark, and below street level. We were moved to a room on ground floor, which was also dark… many of the tv channels were unavailable. Staff was moderately pleasant. I guess compared to other hotels in area, it was a good room rate for a 3 star hotel, and breakfast was quite good."

"The room might have looked like the pictures right when they opened - it almost didn’t seem like the same place as the photos. It was very run down, paint was chipped and peeled, some walls had holes in them. The place smelled like there was mold somewhere in the building when it didn’t smell like there was a sewage spill whiff in the air. You could hear everything going on in the building. We were on the ground floor which was not great in the sense that we could hear every time anyone walked...

"Overall the hotel was excellent. The only issue we had was there is no bar/restaurant open for dinner on Sunday’s and Monday’s. They did provide a shuttle bus to take us to another of their hotels, only 10 minutes away. That was great!! I would definitely stay again."
