"Bed was good, pillows were awful. Door to room required excessive force to shut and lock. Bathroom door did not shut. There was no complementary breakfast as stated in the description. Paid way too much for this experience. Desk staff was pleasant at check in."
"Overall the room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was a little lacking. I don't know if I would even call it a breakfast but the location was convenient."
Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Crawfordsville by IHG
8/10 Good
"Overall the stay was good. The staff at the hotel were very kind, but several issues made the stay concerning. The elevator made a loud, unsettling noise every time the doors opened and closed, which did not feel safe.
At check‑in, I informed the staff that although my reservation was for four people, only three would be staying, and that my son would be arriving later. I asked whether he should pick up the key or come straight up. Instead of answering the question, the staff repeatedly reassured me that having more than four people visit the hotel was fine due to graduation week, which was not what I was asking. It felt as though they were not listening.
I also called the hotel the day before to confirm the reservation, since I never received any notification. The phone line was busy most of the day. On the day of arrival, I tried calling several times to let the hotel know we would be checking in late, and again the phone was busy almost the entire day.
Breakfast was another disappointment. The muffins and biscuits were raw inside, and the eggs and sausage were only lukewarm, cold by the time I sat down to eat. But the selection of food was good."
"We absolutely loved having brown stains on our ceiling, mattresses and sheets. The toilet didn’t flush properly, had to beg for towels and toilet paper. Sheets didn’t fit the bed and we had to constantly pull them back on. Beds way too small. Room wasn’t cleaned during our stay. It was a dismal experience."
"Excellent overall. Walking distance to the college and Lew Wallace study. Lots of history on the property alone to explore. Street parking only. My only complaint is that the windows are single pane glass and allow in a fair amount of ambient nose. "
