"The food was fantastic.
I have stayed there on many ocassions with my family and it is great value for money and it's an easy bus ride (30 mins) into the heart of Edinburgh.
Stayed over for 2 nights and spent a day in Edinburgh at the Christmas markets.
If you are looking for a quiet spot outside the city with a swimming pool , amazing views and some homely luxury , with a Scottish Castle feeling then this is where to stay.

"Hotel funcional cuando necesitas volar desde el aeropuerto de Edimburgo (hay transfer con bastante frecuencia).
Habitaciones cómodas y espaciosas y bien aisladas. Desayuno tipo buffet con gran variedad de productos y buena calidad.
La zona no tiene atractivo histórico o cultural, pero es muy cómoda para tomar un vuelo ya que apenas se tardan 5 minutos en llegar al aeropuerto."

"Lovely place to stay! Mary and Donald are excellent hosts and cook a superb breakfast. The house is clean, quite beautiful, and historic. It's about a 10 minute walk from plenty of shops and restaurants. Would happily stay at the Gables again."
