"This was a reasonable place to stay and the breakfast was good. The receptionist was helpful with maps and dinner suggestions. We were given a fan upon request and a phone cord. Staff was very friendly. The problem was when I couldn’t sleep and went outside it was difficult to figure out how to get back in the building "

However I'd still recommend based on the character of the place and the excellent staff."

"Bed was a bit soft. Nice quirky room and decoration. Bit mean with the teabags (only 1 in the room). Not too obvious when booking that it was a shared bathroom. It is mentioned but I'd expect it to be clearer. Food in pub was great. Continental breakfast was interesting. Used as close enough to ABBA Voyage and transfers were easy. Would happily come back."

"The Jesmond is a nice place to stay and is conveniently located in an area with many shops, restaurants and access to public transportation. "Outstanding 1 night stay, nice location, beautifully presented B&B property, inside is of the highest quality, beautifully decorated, large comfortable bed, everything you need is provided in your room and everything is immaculately clean. "Place was convenient to the tube station, friendly staff, reasonably priced breakfast. Clean room , fresh sheets. I have no issue with the small bathroom, however a bathroom mat outside the shower would be preferred also to prevent accidental slipping from water splash. I would book again on my future visit."

There is also a big public park a short distance away that has football nets, basketball, tennis, etc. The Holly Tree is walking distance from the bus station where there is a bus going downtown every 5 minutes. "This is a superb setting for Luton airport customers. You are literally in the last bed before the runway. This means it isn't quiet when the planes fly over, but it is superbly comfortable and the hosts go the extra mile with small but winning touches including the ready when you are breakfast for those travelling at odd times. Great stay, but bring your ear plus if you want to pretend you are not staying near the airport."
