We did want to stay in the room and hope by the time we come back all the chemicals spray smells will be gone. We can back around 10 pm and found the floor was flooded from leaking refrigerator. "I had a great stay! The location was fantastic, and the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The Wi-Fi was a little spotty in the rooms toward the back of the hotel, but the team let us know upgrades are already underway, so that's a bonus for future guests! The hotel is also in the middle of renovations, and they did an impressive job keeping the grounds, pool, and common areas clean and enjoyable throughout my stay. "The Surfside is an unpretentious and basic motel, but it does this very well. The motel, while dated, appears to be well maintained, the host greeted us with a warm welcome, the room was clean and the beds comfortable. It is four blocks from the beach and it has a great breakfast place "Wildflower Cafe" a short walk away. I highly recommend it."
