"Quite dated in decor and furnishings, but all in keeping with the look and feel of an older country residence. Every interaction was a helpful, friendly one. Would return if I have reason to stay in the area again"

"Immaculate! A hidden gem. My room was beautifully appointed, the furnishings were so tasteful, the bed extremely comfortable with a variety of pillows. Super clean. The staff were not in your face but ready to help if required. The shared kitchen/laundry was such a good idea ..... why dont more accommodation places do this????? I stayed for six nights and will definately be back."

"Location was great but to describe this guest house as boutique is a big stretch of the imagination. Room was clean but decor and furniture tired. Stain on the sofa. One of the bedside lamps didn't work. Bathroom - crack in the sink. Water pressure was low and ran hot and cold in the shower despite it being the only water in use at the time. Shower curtain was water stained. Cheap toiletries. Only two sachets of coffee provided and no tea. Overall we didn't think it was great value for money...

"The room was spacious and reasonably clean. Quite basic but serviceable. What was not good was the bathroom: we understand that a shared bathroom depends a lot on the other guests, but the grime on the toilet and in the bath tub was days old. We chose not to shower here this morning because we didn’t feel at ease."

"Oddly unwelcoming guest, mocked me for using Expedia upon entry to the property. Laughed about me essentially getting scammed for using Expedia and instructed me that I wouldn't be having breakfast instead of offering it to me. Tiny bathroom with a tiny shower. Instructed that you are forbidden from bringing food in to your room. Upstairs room had TV on full volume until 3am (it has been possible to restrict certain volume levels on TVs for over 20 years to prevent this issue). Poor parking at...
