"The owners did such a nice job at renovating this adorable motel. The rooms are very cozy and comfortable- pale green paint and wainscotting, white-washed ceilings and other stylish touches. They have really thought of every little detail to make the rooms special- a light up mirror in the bathroom, retro-looking fridge, nice wood and tile floors, complimentary local yogurt and granola- even a portable ironing board and iron are provided. Improvements? they went a little overboard on the 'antler' theme (although you could see that was just their way of having whimsical touches). Could have used a chair in the room. The bed- way too soft for our taste. But everything else was really nice and comfy. And the restaurant was really special- amazing food, very intimate setting. I highly recommend for a quick visit or an extended stay!"
"Came to Rhinebeck for a family reunion and really just needed a home base to shower/sleep and change clothes. I have stayed in many high end hotels in my travels so after reading some of the reviews I came prepared. Brought my own shampoo, conditioner and bath soap.
I checked in at the Beekman Arms property 1/2 mile away and that went smoothly, recieved my room key and drove back to the motel. You can park right in front of your room. When I entered I noticed that the room smelled fresh and the air conditioner kept the room cool. There was all of the shampoo, conditioner and bath soap supplied. The refrigerator was large enough to hold several bottles of water and half & half for my morning coffee. Yes there was a small coffee maker but I travel with my own portable pour-over coffee maker to use. Microwave and TV worked fine, beds were comfortable with 4 fluffy pillows on each bed. The bathroom was clean and my only complaint is the lack of any shelf space to hold even the minimum amount of necessities (brush, comb, toothpaste/toothbrush, make up, etc), a shelf or two would have been nice. There was a blow dryer, iron and ironing board so basically I needed for nothing. It was quiet, never heard a peep outside my room and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again, I was there for 4 days total.
I cannot attest to the complimentary breakfast offered at the Beekman Arms because I never ate there."
"This is a lovely inn. I have always wanted to stay here. The bar was great. The food was amazing. However, the wifi did not function in my room. The check in staff did not inform me that coffee would be available in the lobby in the morning. Frankly, I found him somewhat condescending. The property is beautiful, the setting is fantastic. There was a window air conditioner. I did not stay around for breakfast as I wanted to get home.
I believe the rumors about the Inn being haunted to be true. I was awakened in the night by someone whispering "Hey" in my ear. Just a fun observation."
"Staff, room and parking were great. Breakfast was very disappointing. Space is part of the problem and the coffee maker wasn't working, so staff was having to refill a thermo container. Food choices were very limited mainly due to the space.
Its also not practical to have the single desk staff also dealing with the breakfast.
Again, room and staff were great. I didn't use the pool or other amenities"
"A perfect weekend for our group of four golden girls. The relaxed, genuinely friendly atmosphere was absolutely delightful. Lots of places to chat, read or just relax. Food and spa amenities outstanding. The small charming village is at the door. You’ll be so glad you came."
"The room was very clean. The gentleman that checked us in and out was very helpful and advised if need be we could stay an extra day. We went there due to a storm that took power out for four days"
