"As always, this was my favourite place to stay during my trip. Canadian/Irish citizen, moving to Portrush, so having a place to get to know the area that's right in town is essential. The renovations are incredibly well done and the new beds are the coziest mattresses I've ever slept on. The staff, top notch. Super friendly and helpful. I was so tired checking in, I left my luggage beside the reception. Within seconds of entering my room, someone was at the door. With my bags and a huge smile....

"The hotel was just fine but what elevated my one night stay was the warmth of the staff. From reception to the bartenders and the wait staff at breakfast there was nothing other than genuine friendliness and kind consideration, none of the corporate smarminess one might find or usually finds in chain hotels. "The accommodation is well finished and the staff pleasant. We had booked a room with a sofa bed which had not been made up so we were moved to a family room which had two beds but very little room around them.
We had to leave a day early as my mother was admitted to hospital but the hotel would not approve a partial refund.
The breakfast was fine.
I think this hotel is lovely but not really ideal for families. "

"This is a cute old hotel, but clean and updated with sitting room. The shower was very difficult to figure out. Dining was nice and the pub had many areas to sit. Parking is free and plenty of it. In the heart of the town. Not much going on in this town. "
"The host (Robert) who comes in the morning to cook your breakfast is what sets this property apart from any place I've ever stayed. And I've traveled to almost 30 countries now. He's enjoyable to talk to and genuinely enjoys his guests. He has great info and insight and cooks an excellent breakfast as well. The dining room coffee machine brews excellent coffee options too. My mom and I really enjoyed our stay."
