"Overall, we had a good stay. Check—in was unique. The rooms were spacious with very good furnishings. The bathroom floor seemed less than 5 star. Except for some nice area rugs in the two main rooms the floor was a finished concrete. On the upper level, and with only 11 rooms, there was minimal noise! "We were not happy at all with the room. The bed was so high we could not get on it. Could not relax in any way because it was either the bed or 2 wooden chairs. Carpeting was not clean. This was not very accommodating at all for 2 people in their 80's."

"Coming to Shipshewanna, we booked a room at Essenhaus Inn because our usual hotel was totally booked. I cannot begin to say how much we enjoyed our stay in the atrium! From the friendliness to the cleanliness...from the free brunch to the free "afternoon" cookies...we were really impressed. Next trip to Shipshewanna will find us staying at the Essenhaus Inn again!"
