"Gorgeous hotel with laods of history including castle ruins on property. The loch walk was beautiful and peaceful and there are options for row boat rental or fishing if you are keen. Breakfast was ample and tasty however the evening meal we rated average to a little disappointing especially for the price. That being said food options in the area are limited so we will probably do the dinner again on our next stay. "

"Room, restaurant / bar and staff were great.We had a late check-in and we’d notified the hotel ahead of time so everything went smoothly. Please note there’s no check-in after 10p though so plan accordingly. The food was top notch and the location is central to a lot of great spots in the Highlands. "Beautiful hotel with wonderful views and lots of excellent thoughtful little extras. The bed room was delightful with every facility you could wish for. Extensive choice for breakfast and we very much enjoyed our Indian meal in the evening. Thoroughly recommend this hotel "

"The Lovat at Loch Ness is a charming and stylish lakeside hotel. The property has two lovely lounges, even a grand piano, and is equipped with an elevator — a thoughtful touch. Our room was spacious, bright, and very comfortable. Breakfast was a highlight: besides the classic Highland Breakfast, we tried the Kedgeree (smoked haddock with curried rice and poached egg), which was absolutely delicious and a wonderful Scottish surprise. The hotel’s location in Fort Augustus adds to the experience....
