"The owner has to do the school run but leave her number on the door so you don’t have to wait long. She is really professional, polite and welcoming. Room was comfy and quite with a fridge and microwave in room which is a bonus for longer stays. No parking but a car park is situated 2 mins away and £6.10 for 24hrs is a good rate. Also paid by phone so you don’t have to worry about tickets on dashboard. Excellent Chinese takeaway a few doors down very reasonably priced. Didn’t try the...

"I was staying in the area for 3 days with work. I was considering a chain hotel but saw this on Hotels.com. It was reasonably priced and close to where I was working. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived. It was a lovely little self contained cottage whee I could finish work and shut myself away from the world. There was a microwave and kettle although no oven or hob but there is a decent pub a few yards down the road for food. A lovely quiet oasis in a busy, frantic world"

"Not very well organized with passwords etc. When I arrived, I had to wait for ~10-15 minutes for getting into the room because it was not ready. Location is not confortable. It is ~2 km from the city center and the railway station on foot. The bathroom is shared with others, but in my case it was clean and proper."

"Perfect night stay at Harlestone retreat, very clean room with tea and coffee available the bed was so comfortable i slept all night and needed an alarm to wake me up. I will be staying again for sure. It would be nice if they could leave a bowl of fruit or a drink as a welcome pack ( even if it costed me more money ) It was nice to relax in front of a big TV with some great films to choose from. Very clean shower and toilet. Overall it was just what i needed. "

"Views are great over the square and the check in and communication process was easy. £100 bond was returned quickly and the flat is very secure and spacious. Kitchen is well stocked. Parking was free 6pm to 6am and is a 5-10 minute walk away at Argos and can be paid for remotely from 6am 8am which was £2. "
