We had an amazing stay at the Royal Hotel Whitby. The room was amazing and beautifully furnished. Staff were friendly and professional. The breakfast had a great selection of hot and cold food and with high quality ingredients. This was the perfect place from which to explore Whitby.

We loved our stay here, it was so near to whitby centre. The room was good, a negative is no where to dry towels. We had to ask for more coffee and sugar, as we were staying three nights. The kitchen needs a few more receptacles. There’s no point providing an oven and microwave if there’s no bowls or trays that can be used in them

Having stayed there for the second time this year and numerous occasions in the last 49 years , This stay was special the only downside for me is the stairs leading to the apartment, perhaps next time I should book the ground floor one as my wife has MS , apart from this it was a perfect stay .

Whitby is a lovely seaside town on the edge of the North York Moors National Park. There are lota of quaint shops and cobbled streets. Unfortunately I had to cut my visit short because of the Covid19 outbreak. But I intend to be back.
Love it - a wide range of pubs and restaurants catering for every budget - lots of unusual shops and experiences available - like sea trips etc - often there are themed weekends where visitors dress up in the theme - fantastic - lovely vibe!
Will always love visiting Whitby. A timeless old town.

Came across the 'Arch and Abbey' Pub in Whitby. Good beers, very friendly. Worth a visit.
