"The lokahi lodge is a very comfortable stay. It’s like staying in a cabin. Very quiet location right next to volcano national park. The room was clean, spacious, and nice. Good stay for anyone wanting to visit the park"

"This place is unique, and the huge trees on the property are amazing. You can pick your own fruit and macadamia nuts even, and keep or eat them. The set up of the "common area" is a bit odd, with the main room being part of the hostesses house. The pictures of the beautiful kitchen that I saw in the listing was very misleading, as the kitchen is 100% hands off, guests are not allowed to touch it. Which was really weird and not welcoming, and odd that you can be right next to the hosts personal...

"Front Staff and restaurant staff were kind and helpful. Plus in terms of the quality of the room it was great, nice secluded with heating amenities , hot bath tub outside surrounded by nature , lush green trees with birds chirping, insects singing. I mean great place to relax , rewind and onward journey . The restaurant food was great with nice ambience- lamb is a recommendation for dinner, Further this place is very near to Kilawea , we could rush to watch episode 52 eruption just in time ."

"Room I booked had strong mildew smell. Owner solved problem by allowing us to move to upstairs unit. This was so much better. Appreciate the responsiveness. Hot tub is very old and beat up. Time for an upgrade. But sitting there at night with frogs and moonlight was awesome. Lava tube was closed. This was a bummer as it’s why we picked this place. Very close to park entrance. Short drive."
