"Clean Room Staff nice"

"Staff in the hotel is friendly and so helpful! But the executive lounge is terrible, not many snacks or drinks. No staff in it for any service, only one check your room number in the entry."

"One Gem Hotel has exceeded all my expectations. After missing our train to Sanya, I booked this hotel due to its high reviews. The friendly staffs helped saved my day. As I was leaving the taxi, I dropped my cell phone inside the taxi, my husband and I thought it was lost forever. When we told the receptionists about the situation, they suggested to get the hotel driver to assist me who in turn suggested to drive me back to the airport to report my lost cell phone to the police. My Mandarin was limited but the driver was able to communicate my problem to the police. He was very confident that my cell phone would be found, he helped calm my nerves. He stayed with me the entire time driving me back and forth 2x to the hotel. My cell phone was quickly located by the police and was back in my hands within 2.5 hours of losing it. If it was not for the immediate action of the One Gem Hotel staffs, I would not be able to have my phone back. I really appreciate the kindness of all staffs and how they put their heart into helping their guests. Thank you One Gem for saving my day and saving my holiday from going hopeless. I also want to thank the brilliant police for their prompt attention and speediness in recovering my cell phone. You all have made my visit to Hainan memorable. "

"Our initial room felt quite old, and there was a strong smell of cigarette smoke. It appeared to be coming from another room, as the odour was even more intense in the corridor and near our door. Unfortunately, no action was taken after our first complaint. We were later upgraded to a club floor room, which was an improvement, though still not ideal. The hotel did provide an air purifier at no extra charge following the upgrade, which we appreciated. At times, we experienced long waits for the lift, and the location was not particularly convenient. Overall, we were quite disappointed with our stay and would not choose to return to this hotel."

"The pool is good but the beach is not easy for swimming I have a seaview suite and the view is unforgettable. Concierge and front desk staff very helpfull. This is a peaceful place that I sure wamt to come back again for relaxation. Hotel WiFi a little weak. Better get a data card."

"International island but very few staff spoke any English. No internet access or WhatsApp connection. The hotel.com messages to the hotel from me, were unavailable to see when on site. Difficult to communicate to staff apart from phone translator!"
