"Too early for breakfast for me, but Bistro offers breakfast menu from 10am, has to be paid for but very good if not an early riser! All the Staff were excellent, friendly, helpful. Food was great and what made it, for me, was could get a drink and take up to room to relax with. Room was clean and comfortable."

All of the basic/important things were top notch, and there were many nice touches, including indirect lighting and an abundance of electrical outlets. "Stay here regularly. We booked a more expensive king bed room, was told on arrival we had the best room however when we got there the room was far from an upgraded room and looked more tired than their standard room and wasn’t a king bed in it, the staff very kindly moved us to another room which was far better however it was so hot and even with the fan supplied on all night and window opened, it was uncomfortably hot. Great hotel, but I would choose the basic room in future as the upgraded...

"Everything was excellent! Such a cute hotel and such a lovely town. We felt perfectly safe and at home during our stay. We stayed for 5 nights and took the train to Edinburgh, Melrose and Stirling. The hotel is close to the train station and very close to several lovely cafes. The price was reasonable. The room was lovely-comfortable beds, nice linens and nice soaps/shampoos. If we ever come back to the area, we will stay here! "
