"This is a great property to stay at if you are spending a couple of nights. Kitchen was great, Cooked a couple of simple meals. Couple of negatives., the steep stairs and the laundry dryer's air filter was awfully dirty. I don't just mean the lint was not removed. The mesh in the filter is black from dirt and should be was out with soap and water to make it look clean. But overall we would recommend to others."

"The 1872 Inn was clean, the staff was very friendly and helpful, and our room was very quiet. A staff member insisted on carrying my heavy bag for me down the stairs, as well as replenishing our bottled water as often as needed. The breakfast offered many choices of hot and cold food, and parking was more than ample."

"We just returned from our trip to West Yellowstone. This is a wonderful place to stay and I highly recommend it. It is clean, safe, and within easy walking distance to restaurants and shopping. But, do read the property description. There is no dishwasher and there is no air conditioner. 10 months out of the year having no AC is probably not an issue, but Montana does get warm in July and Aug. We had difficulty getting the room cool enough to sleep. "

The rooms are dated but clean. If they replaced that old,ugly colorful carpet with some light colored vinyl the place would look so...

"The room was clean, comfortable, and nicely maintained. I especially appreciated the number and convenient placement of electrical outlets for charging electronics— something that's surprisingly uncommon in many hotels. A few more hooks in the bathroom for towels and clothes would have been helpful, but that's a minor issue and one I've encountered in many places. "First, when I booked through Expedia I booked a room with 2 beds and a sofa bed because I had 5 people. I only got a room with 2 beds and they said that is what was requested through Expedia. So room was very crowded, but they were very helpful and brought a rollaway bed. Rooms are clean but not a lot of room, for 4 people it would have been crowded. The kids said the pool was too cold and there was young kids in the hottub even though it clearly states no one 5 or younger, mostly blame...

"We loved the their decorating theme of bears and pine cones in the rooms. Breakfast was awesome every morning and coffee was available non stop. Their staff is the most friendliest I’ve ever seen."

"Close to yellow stone west entrance, and sufficient eating options around. But for the price, small and pretty dated. No house keeping services regardless of how long your stay is. So if traveling with young kids, do not expect your trash to be taken out or bathroom or room to get cleaned during your stay. Also our flight got cancelled so had to move the dates of our stay forward by one day and they did not accommodate that at all."
