"This is an old house, and certain features could be deemed charming. The beds were comfortable, and we appreciated some of the amenities. However, it seemed worn and bare-bones in some aspects. For example, the AC in one of the bedrooms was a stand-alone unit that was jerry-rigged to vent out the window, and the other bedroom had no AC. The screen door was broken. "This is a great opportunity to see Portland, which is in a 30-minute drive from Kennebunk. All accommodation options in Portland were superexpensive, so I booked this one, in a town closeby, and did not regret it a bit. It was certainly cheaper to park the car somewhere in Portland (hey, I was able to find a parking spot for five bucks a day (!)) than to book accommodation AND pay for overnight parking in Portland. "I had issues with the acces codes twices. The cleaning crew was there early and waiting for us to leave at check up time. This is the first time I rent an appartment an I have to pick up my towels, gargbage and bedding before leving."
