"Basic accommodation that has all you need for a comfortable stay. Breakfast was hot and on time. Place is easy to find. Pool isn’t heated in winter. We didn’t use it. We were in a cottage with two bed/two baths and a large living dining area. Nice for a family. "

"I stayed in 3 hotels during my long stay at Victoria Falls, Pioneer was hands down the best one. The staff was incredibly helpful, including lending me their own charger for the night because I had lost mine. The property is beautiful and well-kept. I enjoyed my stay immensely. "

"All the staff in this lodge are far better organised, more professional and kind than a large sized luxury hotel we stayed during this trip. It is a cosy small hotel with specious room and a beautiful garden with friendly staff, always flexible and attentive to your needs. Decor is nice and simple as well. It’s really the people that make trips special after all, and this lodge really lives up to it. "

"Our home was spotless, fully equipped kitchen, washing machine came in handy, but no dryer (clothesline outside though). Beds were comfy, bathrooms excellent but one bathroom has just a tub, so we all had to share the shower in the other bathroom. Nicely decorated modern decor. The service/staff was EXCELLENT, super nice and helpful. Very secure with guards and a gated entrance (even though Vic Falls is incredibly safe). Was there 7 nights and it was like home away from home. Only issue...

"Batonka Lodge was booked as part of a package trip that we did to Africa. However, we extended our trip so stayed two additional nights at the Lodge. The lodge is small compared to some other places that have recently been built or being built but it was just right. It had a really cozy colonial feel to it. The staff were incredibly attentive and couldn’t be more helpful or friendly. The food was great and the rooms were clean and spacious. There was a shuttle bus to town but you could also...
