"If you're a hostel traveler, this place is amazing!! We loved it... from the accomodations to the central gathering place, the food and friendly staff, the ambience and security measures, plus walkable to Vic Falls. As with most anywhere, could use some upgrades, especially in the few ensuite bathrooms (and maybe some pop-in screens for the windows to allow enjoyment of the cooler night air), but even the least-best about this place was acceptable... and the best-best more than made up for...

"Very central and easy access to brewery, distillery, craft markets, central town and even easy walk to the falls. It’s a large site with many rooms, breakfast can be full but always lots of food and good service. "

"This property accepted our reservation AND FULL PAYMENT for the stay but was SOLD OUT and they refused to REFUND our money!!!!! And there is no recourse through Expedia! Unfortunately, this is not the first time I've had problems with this platform but it will be the last. Never using Expedia again for any reservations."

"The lodge was everything we expected from the stay in Africa at the Victoria Falls. The room was spacious, clean and decorated to make you feel you were in Africa. The breakfast, lounge, and pool ambiance, coupled with very efficient service, makes this an excellent choice when staying at the Victoria Falls "

"We had a wonderful time staying at Shongwe Oasis. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming and made sure all of our needs were attended to. Our room (honeymoon suite) had a comfortable king size bed with mosquito curtains around it, large bathtub and both indoor and outdoor showers. The pool is a great place to get some sun, although I would recommend using it in the morning or lunch time as it does get leaves and seeds falling in it throughout the day (cleaned in the mornings). "The architecture of the buildings was sensational as were the surrounding gardens and overall integration of the lodge into the natural geological rock features. The lodge has a ‘wow factor’ was a standout place to stay. The menu and food could be improved to match the their aspects of the lodge. "
