"We had a wonderful stay! The setting of the property, amongst those green Basque Country hills, is gorgeous and the building itself has an air of old world charm. The owner and his son were very welcoming and accommodating, we loved interacting with them. We stayed in one of the studios on the second floor, breakfast on the balcony was perfect. "We loved our stay here. The hotel was very quiet and peaceful — we could even occasionally hear the donkey nearby. Our room was very spacious (room 203), had a like balcony, spotlessly clean and well maintained, with two single beds and a double sofa bed. Having air conditioning was also a big plus. Parking was easy and we never had trouble finding a space. The location is excellent, only about 15 minutes by car from San Sebastián and a great base for exploring northern Spain, from Bilbao all the way towards the French border. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We also decided to have breakfast at the hotel, which at €9 per person was very good value. We really enjoyed our stay and would happily come back."

"Great room, new hotel so everything in decent shape. Large car park. Staff member on reception wouldn’t check us in without passports on every guest, which having come from France where everything is more relaxed, this seemed pretty intense. I dunno, maybe it’s a law in Spain. Decent buffet style breakfast too. Overall a good stay on the way through the Basque region."

"This is a fabulous hotel with lovely high-end touches (such as Penhaligan's products in the bathroom, restocked mini bar, luxury sized bath). We were so happy to stay there, the room was furnished beautifully - we were constantly googling items to find out where they were from! The spa area is LOVELY and was a welcome retreat, especially as we had a day of rain during our stay. Deba is very small, so easy to get around, but this hotel was in a great location right opposite the beach. They provided beach towels and i think i saw another couple take deck chairs from the hotel too. Service was great and the place was spotlessly clean. I would highly recommend and definitely stay there again. Thank you to all the staff, we have a wonderful 3 days in Deba."

"We had a brief single night stop over at Hotel Dolorea. Booked through Expedia, which seemed to cause some confusion for the staff upon arrival but after some investigation by the staff our booking was found. We booked a shared room for a family of four. Room was air conditioned which was a welcome relieve from the near 40C outside. Room was spacious with a very generous sized bathroom, beds were comfy and water was in the mini fridge. There was no kettle in the room. Room/hotel were accessed using a key code which worked well when returning from an evening meal. A bonus is the private parking in the hotels subterranean car park for 10 euros a night. All in all a good experience, staff were friendly and helpful. Beasain is a delightful town for an evening stroll with some interesting historical features."

"Nous nous étions fiez au image mais nous n’avons pas eu ce à quoi nous pensions faites attention lors de votre réservation. Malgré cela nous avons passé un bon séjour. Par contre les BBQ étaient hors fonction pour risque de feu et qu’un micro onde pour cuisiner."
