"For a budget hotel it was perfectly adequate. Bed was comfortable. Staff were helpful. No noise issues despite being a city centre location. Cleanliness was fine. City centre location is excellent. Park and ride bus stops were right outside. We were there for the theatre which was just opposite. Most convenient. Would stay again"

"We had a family room and the additional bedroom really helped with space. The accommodation is very well located as it is on a quiet road, but also very handy for the Arlington Row as well as a lovely pub called the Catherine Wheel. The food by Ricardo was lovely. The granola was a particular favourite amongst the family. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay and wouldn't hesitate returning in future!"

"Had a wonderful nights stay at the River Hotel on a girls trip with a friend. Our twin room was clean, well kept and a great size with nice decor. "We stopped here as it is very convenient to the M40. We loved the charm of the building and the decor of the room we had was tasteful and beautiful ( Stag). Our ground floor room had a lovely open outlook over fields. Large bathroom. We had dinner in the restaurant which we really enjoyed although the hotel was very quiet. The owner could not have been more attentive. Lovely stay and good value for money."

"Stayed here for an overnight whilst visiting in the area. The staff were very friendly an informative, directing me to the bests restaurants and pubs in the area. Rooms are compact but very clean and modern with all the usual modcons, t.v , tea and coffee etc. Will definitely return next year."
