"Delightful linens, food, ales, garden... and the staff are wonderful. A hidden gem that is a beautiful getaway easily accessible by car or railroad - or indeed on the Kennet by boat!"

Excellent
An excellent base for Truck Festival. Could walk to the festival grounds within 15 minutes after finding a nice shortcut round the corner from the hotel.

I love this little town, a couple of hours from London it's a great little weekend get away! This hotel, staff and breakfast are perfect for a lazy wander, a bite to eat and a drink by the river!

We found a lovely independent book shop along the same road called Mostly Books, and a wonderful dog friendly cafe and shop in the town square opposite.
